Dark Matter Removed From Sale
Dark Matter has been the forefront of controversy lately, it was yet another failed Kickstarter which still managed to reach a stage of ‘completion’ and was therefore made available to buy from the usual digital distribution outlets.
That was until this morning when people noticed that Steam had removed the buying option and replaced it with a message, while gog.com are offering refunds to those who aren’t satisfied.
It’s a pity when a game that has some promise becomes a failure through its creators. The problem wasn’t really that it was so short, it was the abrupt ending which left gamers feeling so short-changed. Go through a door to be met by a screen of text giving you the story of what happens next before coming to the conclusive ending isn’t what players of Dark Matter should encounter.
