Elite is the company behind the Kickstarter for the Bluetooth ZX Spectrum and it seems people aren’t too happy about how Elite hasn’t been paying royalties, causing backers to cut their pledge to the minimum £1.
The royalties owed are for “officially licensed” software, but the developers have seen the money disappear over the last few years, bringing Elite’s reputation to question. One of those questions is can they be trusted to offer backers with a product or even, will they?
Steve Witherill is a developer who wrote a blog post containing some facts about the situation, how he and other developers haven’t received royalties even after continuously contacting Elite.
