British Babe Wins Skeleton Bob Gold

I know it’s a late post, but YEAH!!!!a gold for Britain in the Winter Olympics is a pretty rare thing, so it’s always nice when we do get one.

What makes it even more special is the fact that she’s the first British female Winter Olympics athlete to win gold in an individual event for 58 years and the first to win any individual event in 30 years when skater Robin Cousins won back in 1980.

Britain doesn’t have the necessary facilities to cater for most winter olympic events and especially bobsleighing of any kind, there’s only one ‘push-start track’ in the whole of the UK which is where Amy would have done a lot of her training.

Anyway, she won and that’s all that matters!
