Pokémon UNITE Launches on Switch

Pokémon UNITE is a strategic battle game which is now available for the Nintendo Switch and coming to mobiles a little later this year.

Along with the launch, a new trailer was released.

The premise of Pokémon UNITE is all about teaming up with other players to battle against another team of players in a 5-on-5 team battle.

Cooperation is the key to winning by defeating wild Pokémon to level up and evolve your Pokémon, as you do, you’ll need to defeat opponents Pokémon to earn more points within the game time.

Timed with Pokémon UNITE’s release on Nintendo Switch, players will be able to enjoy the game’s first season, “Welcome to Aeos Island!” The season battle pass will feature many rewards, ranging from in-game currency to Holowear. Players will need to complete both daily and weekly missions throughout the season to raise their battle pass level and receive rewards based on that level. Additionally, players who purchase the premium pass will have the chance to earn even more rewards, including the Holowear Hip-Hop Style: Pikachu and Captain Style: Cinderace.

Mobile gamers will have to wait until September to join in the action, but the good news is if you log in using your Nintendo Account or Pokémon Trainer Club account, you’ll be able to use your game data on any device.

Crossplay between the Nintendo Switch and mobile is planned to allow gamers to battle on whichever device they choose to play on.
