Galasia Get's First English Server

Legend of Galasia is one of those cute 2D MMORPG games set in the usual fantasy world and is apparently similar to Ragnarok Online, but I'm guessing.. cuter. It's also known as Adventure Generation Online in Taiwan and Le Ciel Bleu in Japan, although, why it would be known as something French in Japan is anyone's guess. (more…)

Not An Orange Odyssey Then?

Image via CrunchBase Aeria Games has announced a new addition to its free-to-play list of online games, Lime Odyssey that is the first game to be created by Sirius Entertainment and is scheduled to have a closed beta around the middlw of 2011. “Aeria Games is excited to be working with Sirius Entertainment on the launch of Lime Odyssey,” said Lan Hoang, CEO of Aeria Games. “The Sirius team has, for the last few years, poured their hearts and souls into the development of Lime Odyssey and the final result is a beautiful, well-balanced MMORPG, with a unique combination of rich role-playing features and robust gameplay. Runes of Magic Trims Down

Full clients of MMORPG's can be rather large, 10 GB wouldn't be an surprising sized download before you even get to play the game, that's why Frogster have released a 'slim' version of the Runes of Magic client, bringing it down to 3.5 GB. That means you only have to download about half of what you would've needed to before, how is it possible? Compression of pretty much everything that can be squished as small as possible like some of the detail in the graphical textures and sound files, but everything which is in the full client will still be there. Another bonus to the slim client is the use of lower resources which should help improve the performance of your system, nice if you don't quite have a beefy spec computer. (more…)

Seal Online, No Heidi Klum

You're probably wondering what a legendary British singer has to do with videogames, apart from possibly having his music featured in a game. Well, in this case, nothing. It was just a ruse to use his name due to an MMORPG, which is launching on October 5th, being called Seal Online. “Seal Online: Eternal Destiny takes the anime scene into another level,” says Jeff Ee, Team Associate Manager for YNK Interactive.  “It has all the things that players love about Seal with a new exciting twist.” (more…)
