GTA 5 ‘Next-Gen’ Officially Dated

GTA 5 has received an official release date by Rockstar Games, unfortunately, the PC version has been delayed. Not by a little, but just over two months later than the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

You no longer have to worry about when you can expect to play the latest and greatest Grand Theft Auto on your spinky new consoles (and PC) as Rockstar have finally given GTA 5 a release date.

In addition to increased draw distances and higher resolution, players can expect a range of additions and improvements to GTA 5 including:

  • New activities;
  • New weapons;
  • New vehicles;
  • Additional wildlife;
  • Denser traffic;
  • New foliage system;
  • Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more.

That bit was straight out of the press release, other info contained within it says the radio is enhanced, “with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations”, so you have more variety to listen to while driving around.

If you pre-order Grand Theft Auto 5, you will receive a reward of $1,000,000 in-game dollars, shared between story mode and online. More vehicles include the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp. Like anyone actually played with the Blimp anyway.

You can take part in new activities such as wildlife photography (ooooh) and new shooting range challenges (aaaah), new weapons to help annoy normal gamers online and talking of GTA Online, up to 30 players can be in one lobby at a time.

As announced before, you will have the chance to transfer your online game save to whichever version you choose, no matter if you played the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 online, you can transfer it to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 version of GTA Online.
