Ubisoft Removing DRM, Gradually
As some are saying, it's a start. Apparently, there's a patch that will now stop games like Assassin's Creed II and Splinter Cell: Conviction needing a constant internet connection, a legal patch which still requires you to be connected for authentication purposes.
It was a controversial move to begin with that caused a tsunami of complaints from PC gamers on a global scale, now it seems maybe Ubisoft have looked at the PC sales of ACII and SCC and realised they're not as impressive as they could have been.
