SEGA has released a fourth installment of the SEGA Genesis Classics collection that can now be obtained through digital distribution. “We are pleased to make more classic titles available from SEGA’s rich gaming heritage, each with load/save functionality and full PC support,” said James Schall, Digital Distribution Manager at SEGA Europe.
Ok, so that may be a little premature since the actual date of Sonic‘s release into the world is June 23rd, 2011, but SEGA are planning worldwide celebrations to honour the famous hedgehogs anniversary. The original games are classics, maybe not the third one, we’ll forget about that shall we… Even Sonic & Knuckles was a decent outing in the Sonic franchise, but the less said about Shadow, the better.
