Rising Star Has a Deadly Premonition

Fans of survival horror games will be pleased to know that Rising Star Games has announced it will be publishing Deadly Premonition in PAL territories.
“Having seen how Deadly Premonition split reviewers’ opinions in America, gamers are itching to get their hands on it to judge it for themselves,” says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “We have high hopes for what can only be described as the most distinctive survival horror game that has ever been released – it’s going to be interesting to see how the game is received over here. It’s a cult classic in the making.”Some love it, some don’t. Destructoid awarded it 10/10, saying: “Judged as a piece of entertainment, as a game that consistently surprises and amazes and leaves jaws hanging, I have no choice but to say that Deadly Premonition goes above and beyond.”
Sounds good huh? But then you have a contrasting opinion from IGN who could only manage 2/10 and saying, “Awful in nearly every way… Terrible controls. Terrible pacing. Terrible sound effects. Terrible visuals.” The difference in review scores and opinions give it a metacritic score of 66, but a user score of 8.4, so I guess the only recommended action to take would be try it for yourself.
Deadly Premonition
A brief description of the game: Deadly Premonition is an open-world game set in Greenvale, a secluded rural town in North West America. Playing as FBI Special Agent Francis York, gamers are charged with investigating the shocking, ritualistic and brutal murder of a local girl.
It’s due for release this Autumn for only £24.99, so hey, give it a go and you could probably get more back for it if you trade it in…
