Rocksmith Goes Classic

I love rock music. I love classic rock music. One thing I don’t like is the price of the new Rocksmith Classic Rock downloadable content that yes, contains some absolutely rocking classics, but for the price they’re asking, no thanks.

The Rocksmith Classic Rock DLC Pack is available right now for the Xbox 360 for the princely sum of 2400 Microsoft Points. They (Ubisoft) seem to think that 2400 MSP equals £23.99, which is what you will have to pay if you have the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
So, what do you get for such a high cost?
Lynyrd Skynyrd – “Free Bird”
Deep Purple – “Smoke on the Water”
Boston – “More Than a Feeling”
Heart – “Barracuda”
Blue Öyster Cult – “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper”
The Blues Brothers – “Soul Man”
The Police – “Message in a Bottle”
The Police – “Roxanne”
The Police – “Synchronicity II”
Queen – “Bohemian Rhapsody”
Queen – “Fat Bottomed Girls”
Queen – “Keep Yourself Alive”
Queen – “Killer Queen”
Queen – “Stone Cold Crazy”
Otis Redding – “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay”
Do you think that it’s a fair price? They’re great songs, but I wouldn’t pay that.
