As I was checking my email, there were a couple in the junk folder and one was supposedly from Facebook claiming that there is a ‘New login system’, people must be really stupid to fall for such a phishing scam.

Dear Facebook user,
In an effort to make your online experience safer and more enjoyable, Facebook will be implementing a new login system that will affect all Facebook users. These changes will offer new features and increased account security.
Before you are able to use the new login system, you will be required to update your account.
Click here to update your account online now.
If you have any questions, reference our New User Guide.
Thanks,
The Facebook Team
The email is apparently from: Facebook ([email protected]) which I suspect is also fake and the link you’re expected to click goes to http://www.facebook.com.vsdflpttt.com/usersdirectory/LoginFacebook.php?ref=6601621851586655945321182783700546&email=<Your email address here> (link is not clickable, please don’t copy & paste into address bar)
Note the .vsdflpttt.com/usersdirectory part of the URL which is the lame attempt at a redirection. Oh, and the fact it was sent to an email address not used to register on Facebook means it’s obviously a phishing scam. Be careful and just delete any mail like this so that you’re not fooled into putting your details into fake websites.
