Buy a PopCap Game, Help Japan

If you like to play casual games on your iPhone, iPod Touch and/or iPad, then why not buy some and help donate to the Earthquake & Tsunami Fund for Japan at the same time this weekend?!

PopCap Games are donating all money from purchases of discounted games (further incentive to buy more than one game) such as Bejeweled, Bookworm, Chuzzle, Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies if bought until midnight PDT Sunday (5pm GMT) to the Red Cross.

“We recently opened an office in Tokyo, and while our Japan-based employees are safe and uninjured, we understand countless others in Japan need food, shelter, and medical attention,” said Ellen Marett, Senior Director of Workforce Culture at PopCap. “Given that Plants vs. Zombies reached #1 on the iPhone and iPad sales charts in Japan, it seemed like the most appropriate game to feature in this fundraising campaign.”

Not sure if this is US only or whether it counts for UK App Store purchases too, but I’m guessing it does, so there’s no excuse to do your bit!
