Category: Featured

Featured posts are about what’s just that little more important than a normal post.

It could be an opinion piece or potential paid post, maybe something like a big sale going on with lots to talk about.

Deals, bargains, a big shift in the gaming industry or sometimes it might be a blog post from MGAceman about something he wants featured to get out there.

Apparently it’s a good idea to post a lot of text here to give categories a good SEO score, but not just a bunch of buzzwords, because they don’t work like they used to.

I mean, this is just a category. How are you supposed to fill this with 250 words? It all becomes meaningless once you get passed the first, basic description sentence.

MG FreePlay: Serena

February 26, 2014 MGAcemanSenscape, Serena, Steam

Serena is a free game on Steam which is a dark, atmospheric point and click adventure. Some may call it a horror game, I suppose you could tag it that, but it’s more about a sinister discovery which becomes more clear towards the end.

[Preview] The Banner Saga

December 20, 2013 MGAcemanStoic, The Banner Saga, Versus Evil

I did it again. Why do I torture myself by trying to understand real-time strategy turn-based games? Something in my head said, ‘hey, give this a go and see what it’s like’, so I ask for a preview code and delve in to figure out what The Banner Saga is.

GTA Blaming Game, Because It's Easy.

August 27, 2013 MGAcemanGrand Theft Auto

How many people have to die before videogames aren’t brought into the blame equation? GTA has been at the forefront of news media since we apparently became international console terrorists or at least, consoles have become a tool of destruction.

Should Filesize Affect Price?

February 7, 2013 MGAcemanFeatured, PlayStation Store, Steam, Xbox Live Marketplace

A discussion you can often find around gaming websites and forums is whether the size of a game should affect the cost, not downloadable content, although, that will be covered (and sort of has before), but the full price, full base game.

Why You Should Ditch Xbox Live for PS Plus

January 30, 2013 MGAcemanFeatured, Microsoft, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Network, PlayStation Plus, Xbox 360, Xbox Live

Yes, it’s one of those posts, you don’t have to read it, but I would appreciate it if you would at least skim through it. This isn’t because someone else posted an article like this just recently, it was something planned when the latest Instant Game Collection was announced, similar views are purely coincidental.

Microtransactions, A Necessary Evil?

January 24, 2013 MGAcemanDead Space 3, Electronic Arts, Featured, Microtransactions

It’s an ongoing debate and quite a few websites are or have done an article about it, especially now that Dead Space 3 will apparently have ‘microtransactions’, are they really that bad or do you consider them the work of Satan?
