This weeks Nintendo downloads include Tetris for the 3DS, you would think that such an old game wouldn’t cost much, but no, to squeeze as much money as possible out the game, it costs £8.99.
So, you’ve gone and bought that gloriously extra large 3DS which Ninty enticed you with so all teasingly and stuff, but now you have the 3DS XL, how are you going to transfer your content from one to the other, so that you don’t have to do it all over again?
Wondering what to buy for your DSi, 3DS or Wii this week? Johnny Kung Fu is on the eShop for 3DS gamers which has you trying to rescue your girlfriend from Mr Wang Gang (oh, please…). Read on for the rest of Nintendo’s offering this week.
Not sure if I’ve used that headline before, I tend to see news and think, “Ooh, I have the perfect headline for tha.. oh yeah, already used it!”, but I digress, there isn’t any particular news to report here except to say that a bunch of new screenshots for The Sims 3 on 3DS have been released and since I’m a big Sims geek, they’ve been uploaded for you to also drool over.
So, the Nintendo 3DS has been officially unveiled to the world and as far as I know, there hasn’t been an official European price set yet, but the pre-order war is already on. Some sites started at £229.99 which is a pretty big markup from $249 that equates to £155 approximately, so let’s look at it this way; xe.com exchanges $249 USD to £155.73 GBP / €184.70 Euro at current time of posting. £155.73 + 20% VAT = £186.87, which could lead to a retail price of £199.99/€239.99 that would be fair.

Engadget has put a post up with a couple of images that apparently show a 3DS outside of a Nintendo factory, next to it is a little Yoshi figure which I’m guessing is for size comparison, talking of size comparison, there’s also a picture of various Nintendo handhelds piled on top of each other to show that it’s even smaller than a DSi. Nintendo 3DS escapes production line, strikes a pose with Yoshi — Engadget.
EA has announced a 3DS title that will allow gamers, especially kids and girls, to create their own little virtual garden on My Garden which at the moment, is a working title, regardless of them creating a mini-site for it. “With My Garden*, our aim was simple: to make something beautiful that comes to life on the Nintendo 3DS like no other platform,” said Rod Humble, Executive Vice President of the EA Play Label. “We hope to offer a game that’s so immersive that it truly brings the delight of owning a garden to life through a visually stunning 3D experience.”
