FIFA 14 has pipped Call of Duty Ghosts to be the Christmas number one. It was a close call, yet the call of FIFA was stronger and Ghosts has to settle for second place with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in third, despite a last minute gallant effort in sales.
We’re just a week away from Christmas and it looks like Call of Duty: Ghosts is going to win the title of Christmas number one in the videogame charts of 2013, FIFA 14 is the most promising contender to take the throne, but it’s looking doubtful.
Call of Duty: Ghosts enjoys another week at the top of the all format chart this week and it looks like some people have asked for Grand Theft Auto V for Christmas as it rises two more places.
Thanks to the launch of next-gen consoles, Call of Duty: Ghosts keeps the top spot in the chart as little Johnny wants to squeal at all the fags and n00bz he encounters, despite him being 10 years old and way too young to even touch the game case.
Call of Duty: Ghosts has kept the number one chart position away from LEGO Marvel Super Heroes which has to settle for second place, despite it launching on pretty much every format.
Gadzooks! Another miracle has occurred… OK, we all saw it happening, so let’s stop pretending. Yes, Call of Duty Ghosts is top of the charts this week, even PlayStation 4 copies were sold, albeit 3% of total sales.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has taken the top spot which could have easily gone to Battlefield 4 in a week where the two major releases were highly anticipated and had major advertising campaigns.
Batman: Arkham Origins was going to enter the charts in the number one spot before it was even released, regardless of anything else attempting to steal the crown, so yes, it is the number one selling game of last week.
For yet another week, GTA V is top of the charts with Skylanders Swap Force putting in a good effort, but not quite managing to take over FIFA 14 who stay in second place, because let’s face it, GTA V is more than just kicking a ball around.
What an astonishing revelation eh kids, FIFA 14 dethroned only for Grand Theft Auto V to take back the number one position in the all formats chart.
