The official word about the whole Notch/Mojang/Bethesda/Scrolls debacle has now been officially announced by Zenimax Media, the head honchos over Bethesda and therefore, where all the legal process happened.
Notch has tweeted that they’ve finally settled the lawsuit over that silly thing about the word ‘Scrolls’, the result means that Mojang can use the word Scrolls as the title of their game, but Bethesda own the trademark and everyone is happy.
Although it may seem nice to see what Minecraft will look like on the Xbox 360, if you’ve already played on PC, you’ll know that it’s just going to look the same, but for those of you that want to see how it looks anyway, read on.
Notch has announced that the 1.7 update will contain the usual bug fixes and pistons, the adventure update will be arriving in the 1.8 update. That means 1.7 will be released soon, containing only pistons and probably a couple of bug fixes. The adventure update will take however long it takes, and will be released as 1.8. It might be a long wait, but it will be worth it! See The World of Notch blog for further info.
