EA Offer SimCity Sufferers Penance
Were you one of the poor gamers who suffered at the hands of the evil EA when you first bought SimCity, thinking you could download and pay the game straight away? Good news! You can claim a free game!
Electronic Arts admitted defeat when the launch of SimCity went, shall we say, less than smoothly. Thousands complained about not being able to play the game due to its DRM (although, EA claim it isn’t DRM) requiring you to be connected to a server at all times while playing. EA completely missed the target of how many would buy the game compared to how many took part in the beta and because of that, couldn’t understand why the servers were so overwhelmed on the launch day.
In a bid to win back your love and support, EA are offering SimCity gamers a free game from a list that isn’t too bad;
- Battlefield 3 (Standard Edition)
- Bejeweled 3
- Dead Space 3 (Standard Edition)
- Mass Effect 3 (Standard Edition)
- Medal of Honor Warfighter (Standard Edition)
- Need For Speed Most Wanted (Standard Edition)
- Plants vs. Zombies
- SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition
EA claim they are “humbled” by “patience and passion”, that’s only because they won’t give out refunds.
