Upgrading

Time for a bit of a moan and general blog type stuff. WordPress has been updated to 2.0.6 and so the hamsters that generate this site have been genetically modified to keep up, although, I think they tried to go on strike earlier and would let me upgrade.

I was doing the standard backup routine as recommended by WordPress and as I was downloading, the FTP decided to kaput on me. This lead to a bit of frustration and even the installing of the Firefox mod FireFTP in a bid to see if it was just Core FTP Lite fucking up on me again. It’s a great FTP program and I thought it was b0rking on me, but it seems that the Mental Gamers FTP was to blame, we have a brilliant host and have only suffered a minor problem before, but the server doesn’t seem to like FTP very much. Anyway, all done now and so can carry on with life…

Game-wise, I haven’t played on a console for around a month, I’ve been playing some old DOS games via DOSbox, but there are a few that still run sluggish, not sure if that’s something to do with using onboard graphics though. Need to get some reviews up soon that have been left to rot in a file somewhere, once those are up, I’ll feel a bit better and up-to-speed with things. I still haven’t played Canis Canem Edit which is stting there in it’s wrapper and Dead Rising is still dead and not seen any life yet, I’ll be ordering Vice City Stories (PSP, they aren’t doing a PS2 port) and Liberty City Stories for the PS2 from Amazon which will cost just under £32 for both, not too bad considering other places (except Play.com) are charging about £28 for VCS.

So, that’s it then until next time when there’s something worth blogging about…

{edit 16/04/07}I know I said, “they aren’t doing a PS2 port” (pretty hard to deny since it’s in the post), but at the time, R* kept saying that they didn’t plan to bring GTA:VCS to the PS2 and it just so happened that about 2 weeks later, it was announced that they were…
