New Sims 4 Packs Announced
New packs for The Sims 4 were announced yesterday during the EA Play stream, yes, PACKS, one of each, believe it!
The Sims 4 Island Living is the next Expansion Pack which, as the title suggests, will allow your Sim (or Sims) to live on an exotic island, but this is The Sims, so it won’t be that easy.
The expansion pack introduces the beautiful, sun-soaked world of Sulani, where for the first time in The Sims 4, Sims can enjoy activities in the clear blue waters surrounding the island, setting sail in a peaceful canoe or going on a wild aqua zip ride alongside pods of playful dolphins that surround the island. Sims can also swim to their heart’s content, build sandcastles on the shore, or kick back and relax under the sun. Sims will immerse themselves into the Sulani lifestyle by learning local folklore, tasting traditional delicacies, dressing in tropical garb or decorating their new oasis with objects inspired by the local culture.
“With Island Living, the development team wanted to give players the chance to escape with their Sims to a peaceful, unique paradise and truly connect with nature,”
said Mike Duke, Senior Producer of The Sims 4.
“This expansion will enable fans and their Sims to find their bliss, whether it is relaxing under a palm tree on the beach, befriending a mermaid along the coral reefs, or protecting the Sulani environment and ensuring that the island becomes more beautiful than ever.”
Players can try out a new conservationist career for Sims who want to make a change in their newfound home and play with life like never before. The more Sims clean up and care for their environment, the more lush and full of explosive nature it becomes. Or Sims will take on protecting beachgoers as a lifeguard, taking on odd jobs or fishing for their next meal.
That’s not all! (That was just press release garb) Not only will there be an EP, but a GAME Pack called Realm of Magic which doesn’t have specific details yet with more coming later this year.
THEN there’s the Moschino Stuff Pack which of course will feature a lot of stylish clothes, but also comes with a new career?
Yes! If you fancied yourself as a freelance fashion photographer, you can take on a part time job to earn some more Simoleons!
Wait… There’s more? It’s the game that just keeps giving!
Not just because it’s Pride Month, because people think companies like to jump on bandwagons with every event, but from June 18th (9 days from now), thanks to a partnership with the It Gets Better Project, you can access LGBTQ+ content.
Content includes clothing and a gender neutral bathroom door that’s also available for The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile AND consoles from July 16th.
Phew, so after all that, sit back and relax to watch The Sims 4 Island Living reveal trailer!
