Nordic Games will make its summer festival debut at Party in the Park, pitching its very own marquee to provide consumers the chance to get their hands-on We Sing Encore on the Nintendo Wii for the very first time.
The singing game is the follow up to last year’s We Sing, which became the fastest selling Wii singing game on release. Nordic Games’ presence in TheHut.com hosted tent at Party in the Park will give attendees a consumer exclusive ahead of the launch in July.
At the one-day festival, the 70,000 strong Party in the Park crowd will be treated to performances from leading pop artists; acts performing at the event include Alexandra Burke, Basshunter, The Hoosiers, Example, Dizzee Rascal, Pixie Lott and The Saturdays.

“Party in the Park is a great day out for all the family and our involvement with We Sing Encore couldn’t come at a better time or place,” says Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games. “We can’t wait to see people’s reactions when they try out the game for the very first time; we’re sure after their first go they’ll be performing as Pixie Lott rather than watching her.”
“We’re delighted to have Nordic Games and We Sing Encore on board for this year’s Party in the Park,” said Sarah Jasper, product marketing manager, at TheHut.com. “The game is a perfect fit for both our customers and attendees to the festival. It’s all set to be a real highlight of the summer in Leeds.”

Party in the Park will take place on Sunday, 25th July at Temple Newsam in Leeds.

We Sing Encore introduces a host of additions to the best-selling original. A single-player reward system will offer soloists a stimulating challenge, whilst groups can opt for competitive or co-operative achievements designed to reward the very best performances. The addition of a ‘real karaoke’ mode offers the greatest challenge, removing backing vocals entirely. Other gameplay enhancements include the introduction of ‘Star Notes’ and a new jukebox mode allowing non-stop music. Technically, the entire engine has been overhauled, boasting HDTV support, specific anti-lag features and an impressive visual makeover.
Can’t sing? Don’t worry: the new singing lessons area will teach players how to sing like professionals. And those who fancy messing around will enjoy playing back their own performances and adding voice effects in real-time.
We Sing Encore will be available for Nintendo Wii in July.
