A Minecraft dilemma… I’ve come so far with my FTB Beyond playthrough on the Team Emmmmsie server and the base area is coming along nicely, but I’m not sure if it’s worth continuing on there.
A Minecraft mod that I’ve been waiting to come to 1.8 is finally in the process of being a thing. Backpacks is only in beta and there’s a slight graphical conflict, but it seems to have potential!

For another week, Minecraft is the number one game at the top of the all-format charts, which is how you can see it’s still a slow period of games being released. The Last of Us is holding on near the top with the only major return to the top ten is The Smurfs 2.

Available now, for absolutely no money, on the Android Market is what you might call a 2D version of Minecraft which is aptly named, Minicraft. If you’re an avid Twitter user and follow the right people, you would have seen it mentioned and yes, it was developed by the original Minecraft guy, Markus Persson.
playXBLA has revealed that Minecraft will arrive on the Xbox 360 in Spring 2012 with Live multiplayer and a new crafting system designed around the Xbox 360 controller. There aren’t too many details, but there are some screenshots to look at. Take a look over on playXBLA.

Notch has announced that the 1.7 update will contain the usual bug fixes and pistons, the adventure update will be arriving in the 1.8 update. That means 1.7 will be released soon, containing only pistons and probably a couple of bug fixes. The adventure update will take however long it takes, and will be released as 1.8.
