Stealth Inc has been quite a hit on the PC (as Stealth Bastard) and PlayStation Network, but the sequel is coming exclusively to the Wii U. No, really. Curve Digital have scheduled its release for Q4 2014 on the Wii U.
The Nintendo eShop is a gold mine of indie titles with more titles released every week, yet due to the lack of interest for the Wii U, it has become a wasteland where few drop by while passing through. While Stealth Inc is one of the more known indie titles, I don’t think Wii U exclusivity is a particularly good idea.
The original Stealth Inc has “been downloaded” over a million times (which has just reminded me, I didn’t post the PS3 review) and Stealth Inc 2 is basically the same game, but more open. You’re not restricted to test chambers, it’s more of an open world with new equipment and co-op through the Wii U gamepad.
Stealth Inc creator and Game Director on the project, Jonathan Biddle, said: “We’ve relished revisiting the world of Stealth Inc. It’s given us the chance to really fine tune the Stealth Inc experience, while also hugely expanding it with the addition of a larger explorable game world, and a more involved narrative.”
