Wow! Erm, hello. I’ve noticed that since I’ve moved over to WordPress.com, I appear to have had more visits than I expected since I’ve only been here a few days and I’ve also noticed via a feed reader stat thingy on here, that I seem to have some people that have ‘subscribed’ to my feed.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I don’t want visitors/readers, of course I do, that’s part of the reason for blogging or it wouldn’t be worth giving out my opinion on things and sharing information.
I’d just like to say thanks to anyone that takes the time to read my ramblings and that something I say might actually be of some help to someone or just be something you can relate to. I’ve been asked why I don’t have a MySpace and even been told to do one, to be honest I have thought about it, but I have so many other things that I could keep updated, I would literally be online every waking hour. I took on a bit too much in the past and I couldn’t do everything;
- admin for online gaming
- post news on a gaming site
- moderate forums
- keep my site updated which had pretty much been my ‘blog’ since before blogging even started
- play games on and offline
So I had to quit being admin, which was just as well since my old computer just seemed to not want to work properly for some unknown reason. The moderating had become a bit of a joke and I pretty much gave up in the end due to no communication with the admins, then when the site changed (CVG btw for those that don’t know) and they started using phpbb, I lost mod status and that was it. Glad it was over really and that I had more time to do stuff I wanted to do.
So, I don’t really bother that much with a ‘site’ of my own any more, I just blog and work on the gaming site, Mental Gamers, which is in a state of hiatus due to problems with the host. I haven’t seen Ste much in the last 24 hours, but I’m sure I saw him say something about it being back up on Monday, I just hope he can log into Burstfire to point the domain to the new server, I tried the other day and even Burstfire was down.
Until next time…
