No, not quite the big silver screen of the cinema, but the bigger screen of a netbook, laptop or desktop computer thanks to Intel AppUp.
Netbooks aren’t really made for any kind of major gaming and so with the help of Intel AppUp, it opens up a whole new world of gaming that you would have previously only been able to enjoy with a mobile device such as an iPhone/Touch/iPad, Android phone or even Symbian.
Obviously, there are a plethora of apps that range from things like Yoono, an app for connecting all your social networks to apps that help kids such as Typing Games. There’s even the chance to join a developer program of which, if you sign up now, you will get a free year as a Program Member which will allow you to ‘Submit Components to the Developer Catalog’ and ‘Submit Applications to the App Store’.
“We’re excited to offer Angry Birds through the Intel AppUp center,” says Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. “Netbooks and consumer laptops are an untapped market for Angry Birds and a huge platform for casual gamers. Rovio looks forward to taking advantage of the innovative consolidated marketplace for PC apps Intel has provided.”
Anyway, the main reason for this news is that Angry Birds is available for $4.99USD and is Windows 7 compatible (thanks to AppUp)…
Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortifications.
